Personal
Statement
I have contributed to national and third-sector organisations, including the Scottish Government’s Empowering Women Panel, and as an active member of the Glasgow Disability Alliance, helping to inform policy and practice that centre disabled people’s voices and address structural inequality.
I combine lived experience, creative insight, and strong advocacy skills with a clear understanding of the systemic barriers disabled people continue to face. I am seeking opportunities in policy development, special education, or Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), particularly within government or Disability Confident employers, where I can contribute to building more accessible, inclusive, and equitable systems.
I am proficient in using the Adobe suite system including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Audition.

My work experience at Hobbycarft was a great introduction to the workplace, as I worked as a shop assistant helping customers find the arts and crafts supplies for their creative projects.

The No.1 Befriending Agency- Creative Assistant
2021 – 2024

A a creative assistant with the No. 1, I was able to collaborate creatively with others in a role that encourages and brightens the lives of older people. During online art sessions, I enjoy meeting new people, taking on new challenges, and sharing my thoughts with others. Furthermore, since becoming a volunteer with No. 1, I have gained more experience because I can provide creative support, such as teaching fine art techniques to people who are experiencing loneliness in the midst of a pandemic, as I have experienced as a disabled person.
